Uniform and Equipment Information

Uniform: (Team Colors are Blue, Silver, and Black)

 Team suits and equipment with team price:

 The committee has chosen a team suit and it can be purchased through www.swimmingteams.com , Go to Team Logon then select "Yes, my team is registered". To access the site, use the username "steelhead" and the password is "swimming". When you are ready to checkout you will be asked to establish an account and choose a password. There is free shipping for orders over $75. Other swim gear is also available to Steelhead members.
The contact person is Dan Martin, 360-510-4813.  Although the team suit is a polyester blend that will last longer than Lycra blends, you should also have a practice suit (can be any color) to wear at practice.

 Team Cap:

Silver silicon team caps are available for purchase @ $7.00 each. Contact the team uniform committee representative to purchase a cap. Information about how to put your swim cap on without tearing is on the bulletin board. 

 Team Parka:

These are great for swim meets to keep the swimmers warm between races and after warm-up…especially in the summer at outdoor meets!  They make great holiday presentsJ.

Order the “Atlantis Parka”

Order colors: Bottom of parka is Black, Shoulders of parka is Royal, “V” of parka is Silver…lining is Royal  DO NOT order any lettering…bring it to Eagles Nest for our *special logo for the back (probably another $35+, but you can add that at a later time to spread out the cost)

Equipment: (don’t forget a mess equipment bag for all your equipment)

Please put your name on your equipment with a permanent marker.

 Goggles: any kind that fit the swimmer’s face/eye area.  It’s good to have any extra pair or two in their swim bag incase they break in the middle of practice or at a swim meet.

 Pull Buoy: the best kinds are called “leg floats”, they are one piece of soft foam…there are usually two sizes…most 11 & under need “junior” size

 Fins: Finis brand “Zoomer Z2”

Kick board (optional): any “curved top” rectangle firm (no weird shapes or soft)…any color is OK

StrokeMaker brand in the following sizes: XXS(0) blue for 7-10 yr olds, XS(.5) red for 8-11 yr. olds, Small(1) green for 9-14 yr. olds, Medium(2) Yellow for 13-15 boys and 13-18 girls, Large(3) Red for 16-18 boys.

 Snorkel (optional for Ducks, Crawdads, & Muskrats): Finis brand “Swimmer Snorkel” or the Finis “Jr. Swimmer” Snorkel for 11 & under.

 Tempo Trainer: (optional): this tool is used in practice and helps with stroke rate and rhythm.
